Follow the yellow brick road........

I am well on my way to gluten free living.  Thankfully, there are so many free books on kindle.

I was also introduced to the book "Wheat Belly" and books on Paleo lifestyle.

For the first time in my life, I maxed out my request of books at the library.  LOL  My daughter asked me how many books I requested, and I don't know.

The sheer amount of items with gluten is staggering.  Even lipstick, lotion, chapstick, and soap.

A man at church told me to divide my plate into thirds.  1/3 meat, 1/3 veggies, and 1/3 fruit.  That will keep me out of most trouble.

Paleo avoids corn, dairy, and beans.  So I will be playing with that.  I am breaking it right now by drinking a cherry 7up with all the refined sugar.  But I am being a good girl and avoiding Coke.

Chocolate is still on the menu and can I get an AMEN for that???  This is hard enough without missing chocolate.

All kidding aside, I am feeling better.  My knee pain is almost gone and my stomach isn't killing me all the time.  That alone should prove that this is working.

  2. We are not gluten free, but we do avoid any pop with high fructose corn syrup in it. I found real coke, sprite and fanta at our store, that is made with real sugar. When I started really looking at labels, I was shocked to find soy in most canned tuna. It's crazy what they put in things anymore.
